Let’s start with a basic feature of the game — Battling. PVP battles are a core feature of Ankots of Misteria. Tamers will compete against one another in auto-battler game modes in which players choose their Ankots and place them in strategic locations on the battlefield. At the start of each round, the placed Ankots automatically start battling until there is one Ankot remaining, attributing the victory of the round to the tamer of the surviving Ankots on the battlefield. The choice and placement of Ankots on the battlefield is hence a key factor in deciding the winner of the game. So, these battles require skill and reward strategy.
The PVP battles can be fought in distinct game modes including normal matchmaking and seasonal ranked gameplay. These different game modes reward winners differently with the top rewards being awarded to the best players of the season.
There are magical artifacts called Orbs that give unique powers in the land of Ankots. Orbs can be assigned to Ankots by being placed on specified slots, altering the abilities of Ankots. The rare skills that it grants Ankots makes them key deciding factors in the Arena battles.
Besides this, there’s an additional aspect of the game called Summoning. Every single Ankot in the game is distinct in its nature and set of attributes than the rest. This allows them to be put through a breeding system that allows players to create their own unique Ankots. Other important aspect of this includes Love Spirits that are necessary to successfully breed a new Ankot (they shall cover the Love Spirits in greater detail some other time).
Ankots of Misteria is layered on a DeFi in-game economy that lays the foundation for an immersive play to earn experience that is supported by a tokenized ecosystem. The central cog of this entire ecosystem is the Ankots of Misteria NFT marketplace. AoM’s marketplace acts as a key starting point where-from players can buy essential gameplay assets.
Transactions on the marketplace are facilitated by their native, dual-token system which is made of Ankot Tokens (ANKT) and Love Spirits (LVS), both of which have a unique function in the ecosystem.
