NFTrade Partners With Brokoli to Offset Environmental Impact of NFT Transactions
For many, the carbon footprint and environmental impact of our day-to-day decisions has become a significant point of contention for people around the world. Many want to reduce or negate their carbon footprint as much as possible, but not at the expense of giving up essential aspects of their everyday life. We have seen this topic migrate over to the blockchain space, where many complain about the perceived environmental impact of mining and validating blockchain transactions. At NFTrade, we want to do our part to offset our carbon emissions, and now, users will easily be able to!
To aid in reducing our users’ environmental impact, we are proud to announce a partnership with Brokoli, introducing their front-end API integration and allowing our users to choose to offset their environmental impact at the point transaction. This voluntary carbon tax contribution makes it easy for anyone to offset their carbon impact with a slight additional price increase, aiding in reducing our collective environmental impact.
This carbon offset option will be 100% voluntary and never mandatory, giving each user the decision-making power over whether or not they would like to participate. We will be the first NFT platform to implement this feature, and are excited to work with a socially conscientious team to make the world a little cleaner, greener, and more sustainable. This is just the beginning of what is gearing up to be a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship, with future collaborations already being planned with the Brokoli team!
